Topic: Botany on the Trail - The Joy of Plant Identification

  • Hear from Botanist and Thru-Hiker Matt Berger about learning how to identify botanical treasures on trail, and making the time while hiking to collect observations.
  • Help raise money for iNaturalist through your donations at registration.

About the Speaker

Matt Berger is a botanist and describes himself as a biodiversity fanatic. He is also a triple crown hiker with over 12,700 miles hiked. Last year he explored just about every state west of the Mississippi and much of the Southeast in search of botanical treasures.

Only register if you can attend this event in person

  • A recording of each event (excluding the conversation portion) will be uploaded to the Intentional Hiking YouTube channel.
  • Each recording will be accompanied by a Conversation Kit which will help you have a discussion on the event's theme with friends and family.
